Yeast Management Best Practices: Dry Hopped Beers with Lance Shaner

Working on improving your yeast re-pitching program, but running up against issues with hop creep or haze? This session will share tips to reduce these hang-ups and dive into some of our research on these topics. Lance Shaner from Omega Yeast will share a simple quality control assay for predicting hop creep. When you can’t avoid hop creep, he’ll cover strategies for minimizing tank time and potential quality issues. Their continued work on haze will provide a deeper understanding of the role of yeast in dry-hop dependent haze. Lastly, he will cover their best recommendations for optimal repitching strategies in dry-hopped beers.
