2015 Houston Firkin Fest
The Texas Craft Brewers Guild held the second annual Houston Firkin Fest at Hennessy Park in Houston on March 28, 2015. With over 500 participants, 14 breweries, 26 fantastic beers, and some of the best weather of the year, the festival was a great time for everyone involved.
The festival kicked off with a new VIP session for the first hour. A small number of participants had early access to the day's beers and were able to spend time with Texas Craft Brewers Guild brewery members to talk about the specially prepared festival beers.
Later, the festival opened its doors to the rest of the participants who spend the afternoon sampling beers, playing games, eating great food, and simply having a great time. The views of downtown Houston were spectacular, and the train that ran between the park and Saint Arnold brewery next door made it a unique Houston experience.
The Texas Craft Brewers Guild wants to thank Brigadoon Brewery & Brew School, our sponsors - Saint Arnold Brewing Co, Real Ale Brewing Co, Defalco's Home Wine and Beer Supplies, and Martin Frost & Hill - and all the breweries that participated. But, most of all we want to thank all the people who came out and shared a beer with us. Cheers!
