Position overview

The Head Brewer and Operations Manger will oversee all aspects of Production, cellaring, packaging and distribution. Be responsible for maintaining the core of the business and collaborate with the Head chef for a memorable customer experience. This role will partner directly with the founder to develop and launch the business. Also responsible for growing the brand and bring a creative aspect to the business.


  • Lead the team in Brewery Safety Standards
  • Manage all Brewery Operations, including wort production, cellaring, packaging, raw material, and quality
  • Maintain cellar operations including tank transfers, and cleaning/sanitation of all brewery equipment
  • Develop and oversee all production schedules
  • Operate a 20BBL Brewhouse efficiently
  • Manage, Train and mentor supporting staff
  • Oversee and perform all equipment maintenance, trouble shoot and problem solving
  • Secure required permits and label approvals
  • Work with Designer for branding and label development
  • Maintain draft lines and tap cleaning
  • Manage vendor relationships
  • Ordering of raw materials
  • Yeast management
  • Recipe formulation, modification, and optimization
  • Manage packaging of beer and distribution
  • Manage removal of all spent grain/coordinate with local farmers
  • Perform sanitation of the facility and ensure clean, sanitary equipment
  • Actively participate in and contribute to local/national beer and food events and competitions
  • Work with Head chef for food and beer pairings
  • Conduct guided tours

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in food science, chemistry, biology, or similar field
  • 5yr+ professional brewing experience
  • 2yr+ management experience
  • Strong knowledge in Brewing and Canning equipment
  • Team player and able to collaborate with core team for continuous improvement and growth
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in a leadership position
  • Dedication and creativity for developing world class Beers
  • Participate in community outreach events
