We are looking for a chef who can build up, train and inspire a team with clear communication & positive reinforcement while leading by example. This is a full-time position with time divided between working side-by-side during service/in the kitchen with your team and handling critical administrative tasks such as ordering, reporting and scheduling. The ideal candidate is someone who can engage with both FoH and BoH staff to bridge the gap between the demands of service and the capabilities of our kitchen and take responsibility for managing and overseeing all kitchen operations.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Manage kitchen employees and scheduling, filling in when needed
  • Mentoring and delegating to staff to help them grow their skills and work ethic
  • Quality control of menu items by cooking with the team on the line and in the prep kitchen
  • Implement and uphold sanitation and food storage policies in line with current health code regulations
  • Maintain an organized inventory and track usage, costs & loss for food and materials
  • Develop and maintain a food delivery schedule that ensures the kitchen is always prepared for service and minimizes supply runs
  • Assist in the organization and menu development of private event and banquet operations
  • Work directly with owners on creative solutions to menu development and implementation
  • Work with the management team to develop long term strategies for growth and development of the business
  • Facilitate and participate in weekly meetings with staff, owners and GM
  • Research and present new and innovative ways to elevate the menu and service in general


  • Exceptional interpersonal communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude under pressure
  • Minimum of two years of top tier kitchen management experience
  • Highly analytical and technically proficient
  • Resourceful and creative problem solver
  • Exceptional attention to detail and follow through
  • Familiarity with HACCP plans a plus
