Spindletap Brewery (Houston, TX) is in search of an experienced brewer to join its amazing team. This is a full-time salaried position with PTO, medical/dental/vision benefits, and a company-matched 401k plan. Job Responsibilities:
- Execute production related tasks in accordance with established quality control standards and operating procedures
- Brewhouse Management:
- Malt handling, wort production, CIP
- Cellar Management:
- Yeast handling, fermentation monitoring, dry-hopping, product transfer/filtration, CIP
- Assist in other areas of production operation as needed
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma; applicable college degree and/or formal brewing education preferred
- 2+ years of experience in a brewery production role
- Schedule flexibility
- Represent the company and brand in a professional manner
- Mechanically inclined/basic troubleshooting skills in a brewery setting
- Ability to work and communicate well with all staff
- Organized and detail oriented; accurate record keeping skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to safely operate a forklift and scissor lift
- Lift 55 lbs from ground to shoulder high
- Work in small and confined spaces
- Follow best practice and safety requirements
- Attend brewery staff meetings as required
