Beertender

Position Summary:

Growler Express is looking for Beertender for Buda’s premier craft beer and wine taproom who serves guests in a speedy, efficient, friendly and professional manner.

Responsibilities:

Abide by TABC and Growler Express policies concerning alcohol consumption and safety procedures to prevent over intoxication and underage selling.
Ensure beer and wine quality is up to par, including cleaning and sanitizing lines.
Ensure proper set up and breakdown of bar equipment and POS and report any issues to owners.
Interact with guests while maintaining a professional and friendly work environment and assume 100% responsibility for the guests’ experience.
Responsible for operating the bar, processing cash and credit card transactions and properly monitor inventory efficiently
Serve beer, wine, and other non-alcoholic drinks.
Wash, sterilize and maintain glassware in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient beer pouring and promotion of beverages.
Keeps taproom, outdoor area, and restroom and bar areas clean and stocked.
Must adhere to order-taking guidelines: Greet customer, take order, review order, offer receipt, and thank for business.
Responsible for the restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies.
Must be sales oriented.
Educations and Experience Requirements: High School or equivalent education required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Minimum two years food and beverage service background required.
Cicerone Certification preferred
Understanding of beverage policies and procedures and current TABC license holder.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Experience with POS systems, preferably Revel.
Job Type: Part-time
Salary: $7.25 – $30.00 per hour
