Cowtown Brewing Company has an immediate opening for a passionate, quality-conscious brewer to join our production team. We operate a 15 BBL brew house with a mix of 15 BBL & 30 BBL tanks. We are on pace to produce between 1,600-1,800 barrels this year.  We are located in downtown Fort Worth and, in addition to our brewery operation, we offer a full Texas BBQ menu in our taproom/restaurant, and we operate a satellite taproom/restaurant in Southlake, Texas that serves our beer exclusively. This position will be counted on to perform a wide variety of daily brewery tasks ranging from cleaning kegs to wort production under the direction of our Head Brewer.

Specific Job Responsibilities Include:

·      Raw materials handling, organization & management

·      Unloading and moving 55 lb grain bags, and milling in

·      Production of wort following our established recipes and SOP’s with attention to detail

·      Removal of spent grain from mash tun

·      Harvesting & pitching yeast, performing cell counts, and daily cellaring of actively fermenting beer

·      Transfer & carbonation of finished beer, carbonation testing, and quality assurance

·      Kegging & canning of finished beer

·      CIP & SIP fermentation vessels, bright tanks, and brewing equipment per our SOP’s

·      Keg cleaning, filling, and maintenance

·      Pulling orders for distribution

·      General maintenance and cleaning

·      Participate in new recipe development and refinement

·      Beer line cleaning

·      Represent Cowtown at occasional beer festivals & events

·      Educate servers about our beers

Required experience and abilities:

·      Minimum 2 years of relevant brewing experience

·      An relentless commitment to cleanliness and sanitation

·      A strong attention to detail and self-motivation

·      Ability to work unsupervised while maintaining safety and quality standards

·      Strong time management skills and situational awareness

·      Cool under pressure, ability to adapt quickly to new procedures

·      Ability to manage multiple processes at one time

·      Ability to effectively communicate with team members throughout the brewery

·      Availability to work nights or weekends if needed

·      Ability to meet physical challenges of working in a brewery

·      Candidates with mechanical or related experience preferred

·      Ability to lift a minimum of 55lbs

·      21 years of age or older
