Printer/Machinery Operator or Warehouse help (potential Operator in training)

Are you a print nerd, mechanically inclined and/or interested in gaining skills that will keep you in demand through the 21st century? Are you detail-oriented and looking for a role where you can immediately grow into a team leader? You’ve come to the right place!

Who is Canworks?
Canworks has brought new technology to Austin that will allow us to digitally print directly onto aluminum cans. This gives breweries and other beverage companies the ability to purchase the highest quality printed cans on the market in much smaller quantities, with shorter lead times, and eliminate all single-use plastic shrink sleeves and labels. In short, we are going to print the most amazing aluminum can artwork and get rid of those pesky plastics while doing so. We are a company that is built upon collaboration, inclusivity, personal growth and having fun. We CAN start something great together!

What will you do?
Learn how to operate and troubleshoot state-of-the-art digital printing technology
Work alongside the sales, graphic design and logistics teams to communicate any updates, changes or issues
Help with outgoing logistics
Maintain detailed records via production management software
Design and implement processes and systems to enable Canworks to scale rapidly

5+ years of work experience preferred (does not have to all be in Printing)
Past mechanical experience or education required
Experience operating digital printers preferred
References from prior employers
Proof of education, bachelors preferred (but not a deal breaker)

We are a startup, this will be fast-paced hard work but very rewarding
Warehouse where the printer is located may be hot/cold and noisy
Location is East Austin and remote work is not possible
As we grow, you will likely have the opportunity to manage people – this role could easily lead into managing our Operations team and eventually managing the plant

Canworks is a startup. We have aspirations to bring these services to other locations across the U.S. There will be significant opportunities for both personal and professional growth in this position. We want someone that has fully bought into our vision, is committed to doing things the right way and loves to have fun! If this sounds like you, shoot us a note with your resume, cover letter and anything else you think would make you stand out amongst the crowd. Cheers!
