General Job Description

Work with the existing Cellar and brewing staff to produce high quality beer through yeast management, CIPS, SIPs, dry hopping and other general cellar cleaning and operations.

Primary Roles & Responsibilities

Use proper cleaning and sanitation procedures on heat exchangers and piping to fermenters
Monitor tank temperatures to ensure proper fermentation and scheduling according to brand guidelines
Perform yeast drops from fermenters
Train in order to perform Dryhopping and Fruiting of beers, as well as the additions of any other adjuncts
Set up and perform CIP’s on FV’s and Brites
Rest and crash tanks according to schedule
Maintain proper awareness and adherence of SOP’s and safety guidelines
Help keep cellar vessels/area clean and organized
Train for and participate in sensory program
Secure facility at the end of production week and production day, including tank audit and completion of closing checklist, boiler and air compressor checks
Assist Cellar Manager and Head Brewer with projects and other tasks as needed
Learn to spin up, clean, sanitize, centrifuge beers, and shut down Alpha Laval 250 centrifuge
Carbonate, taste, and perform TTB checks on brite beer


Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Ability to be flexible with schedule
Report to work on time
Proper use and handling of chemicals
Repeated lifting of 35–75-lb
Safely operate fork lift, pallet jacks, and other machinery
Observes safety procedures and uses equipment (including PPE) and materials properly
Adhere to company policies
Must maintain current TABC server certification
Responsible at all times for promoting a safety culture and awareness within their area
Support and adhere to all plant safety policies and procedures at all times
Assist with special events at the brewery and in the market
