Austin Beerworks is looking for a dynamic, outgoing and friendly individual to join our team as the manager of our original taproom.  We have been operating here for almost 12 years and have a great group of beertenders who keep our loyal customers, new ABW fans and tourists hydrated. In addition to the wide range of beverage options, we also have a food truck on site to keep those customers (and employees) happy. We are looking for a craft beer fan with a customer service focus who can both lead and support this great team. Job Requirements:

Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of application
Able to pass a post-offer, pre-employment background check
Texas Food Handler’s certification required
TABC server certification
Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Previous professional service industry and/or hospitality experience strongly preferred
Knowledge and passion for craft beer preferred
Must adhere to company’s policies and procedures
Strong interpersonal skills and love for meeting and interacting with people
Thorough attention to detail and desire to take initiative
Desire to work in a fast-paced, growing company
Willingness to comply with and enforce all health, safety, and personal hygiene policies and standards
Ability to communicate clearly with both owners and Director of Hospitality on a regular basis
Politely but firmly enforce taproom and brewery rules and regulations as well as policies that employees are expected to follow
Ability to stand, walk, bend, etc for extended periods, and lift up to 50lbs
Cannot work concurrently at a restaurant, bar, or brewpub (in the retail tier) as we are in the manufacturing tier
Willingness to become forklift certified a plus
Ability to lift 140 lbs is a plus
Job Responsibilities

Greet all guests promptly and courteously
Ensure positive customer experience
Working with Director of Hospitality on weekly emails to bartenders
Maintain thorough knowledge of the brand including beer, food, merchandise and backstory and brewery news
Have an overall awareness of the tap room and patio and take initiative and ownership to ensure all aspects of it are clean, presentable and inviting
Move and change kegs
Comply with and enforce all health, safety, and personal hygiene policies and standards
Dedication towards ongoing education about the industry, the company and its’ products
Be a team player, capable of interacting productively with all levels within the organization
Handling cash, credit, and debit card transitions, ensuring charges are accurate, returning correct change to customers and the register
Coordinate with Can-tina, our onsite food truck
Assist Director of Hospitality with bartender scheduling
Inventory and ordering
Maintenance assistance (notifying Maintenance department of issues, maintaining clean beer lines etc)
Merchandise Restocking 
Event Preparation
Draft organization and Inventory
Leading or assisting weekly draft beer pick up at warehouse
Other tasks as assigned
