"This celebration of Texas craft beer is reflective of an industry that continues realizing annual double-digit growth, continues creating more and more jobs, and continues producing nationally recognized, award-winning craft beer," Vallhonrat adds.

The Texas Craft Brewers Festival was launched in 2003 by members of the Texas Craft Brewers Guild at a time when only a handful of package breweries and brewpubs existed. Since then, the festival has grown to host over 60 brewers from all over the state, and has earned its reputation as a must-attend event for Texas craft beer lovers.

Craft Beer Taste Explosion...

"Increased interest in craft beer is undeniable. We find it incredibly fulfilling to support the community enthusiasm about craft beer experiences through our 22 beer and wine bars in Texas," says Karma Clark, Specialty Coordinator for Whole Foods Market's southwest region.

"And now, with our own craft brewery, Whole Foods Market Brewing Co., we're able to deliver a complete craft beer experience while collaborating with Texas brewers in ways not possible before," says Clark. "We are proud to immerse ourselves even deeper into the craft beer community and support the beer enthusiasts that have grown to trust us as a go-to source for craft beer."

  Craft Pride

Austin-based Craft Pride, in walking distance to the Texas Craft Brewers Festival and host of the event's After Party, has also seen consumers' passion for Texas craft beer skyrocket. The venue and its owners pioneered the movement to only serve Texas craft beer, and are well-known for their active support of, and involvement in, the craft community.

With consumer interest soaring, growth is measurable throughout the industry, which encompasses all aspects of the craft beer "food chain" - brewers, distributors, retailers, venues and more.

The Texas Craft Brewers Guild, the nonprofit trade organization representing the Texas craft brewers, has documented brewer growth and the substantial economic impact craft brewers have had in the state. According to the Guild, for instance, the number of people employed by Texas breweries and brewpubs more than doubled in four years, jumping 135% between 2011 to 2014, and exceeding 3,500 jobs.

The Texas Craft Brewers Festivalis made possible by the generous support of Whole Foods Market and Craft Pride, along with these brewers:
